Update from Coltishall Medical Practice – April 2022
We are very pleased to confirm following an inspection at the beginning of March that Coltishall Medical Practice has been rated as Good. The full report will be published by the beginning of April.
Covid Vaccinations
We will shortly be offering Spring COVID-19 booster vaccinations to patients aged 75 and over and those in specific patient groups. This campaign will run until 30/06/2022. Appointments will be at Coltishall Medical Practice and patients will be contacted to make their appointments.
NHS COVID PASS
You will see that if you received your covid vaccination or booster at Coltishall surgery this will show on your covid pass that the Administrating centre is Drayton Surgery – Covid Local Vaccination service. Please be assured that this is correct and is because Drayton Surgery is the site designated locally to receive the vaccine. Coltishall is providing the vaccine to patients under their administration umbrella. This information is stated on the practice website should you encounter any questions from any authorities, particularly if you are travelling abroad, to verify that your pass is correct.
Did you know that if you have downloaded your NHS Covid Pass on the NHS App you can also use this to book appointments, view some of your record and order prescriptions from the surgery? More information can be found here
We all need help sometimes
The Help Hub is a partnership between organisations that support people in Broadland and South Norfolk, whatever their need. Please see the full leaflet about what kind of support they can provide here. Social prescribing 1 hour appointments are available at Coltishall surgery on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Please call the surgery to book a time or go online to request help – www.southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk/helphub
Appointments
As directed by the doctors, our reception team are specially trained to ask about the reason for your appointment. They will book you with the most suitable doctor or nurse and may also be able to suggest other services. They are also in certain circumstances able arrange for an appointment for physiotherapy, or to speak with the mental health adviser or nurse.
Just a reminder that we also provide GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner telephone and face to face appointments on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday morning at Spixworth Surgery every 4 weeks – during April this will be week beginning 11th April – and at Drayton, Aylsham or Reepham surgeries on the other weeks.
Unfortunately, there are times when appointments are in high demand and you may be asked to call back. Please be kind when speaking to our team.
